Mission

The Department of Sociology at the Turkish-German University provides an education that emphasizes the foundations of the sociology discipline and its relationship with other social science disciplines, taking into account the reflections of social phenomena, primarily in Turkey and Germany. With an academic approach that incorporates both Turkish and German educational traditions, the department aims to enable students to comprehend social issues at local and international levels, particularly within the contexts of Turkey and Germany, and to develop critical thinking and argumentation skills.
